Health Fair to be Hosted by Public Health District

In preparation for the upcoming health fair, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has been working diligently to ensure a successful event. The fair will take place on April 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Health District’s main campus located at 1700 Third Street. This event marks the first time the district has hosted a health fair since 2019 and is taking place during National Public Health Week, which runs from April 1 to 7.

The theme for this year’s fair is “Super Heroes, Super Health,” designed to cater to both children and adults. City Public Information Officer Chris Horgen stated that more than 40 community partners will be present at the event to support the WFWCPHD motto: “A healthy community is a strong community.” The fair will feature over 30 kid-friendly booths with additional activities being added as the event approaches.

Attendees of all ages can participate in games, activities, get their blood pressure checked, engage in a scavenger hunt, donate blood, try a car accident simulator, potentially win door prizes, and much more. The collaborative effort between various community partners aims to promote overall health and wellness for individuals of all ages in Wichita Falls and surrounding areas. Copyright 2024 KAUZ.
