Bango honors victors of Racine elementary school’s Fresh Air Science Fair

At Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine, fifth graders were recently recognized for their participation in a nearly two-month long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair, which began on February 1st, saw students form teams and submit projects that brought clean air pollution concepts to life. Each entry was judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation.

The Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers, attended an award assembly on Wednesday, March 27th. During the assembly, winners were announced and prizes were awarded. The first-place team members received three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place winning teams received Bucks merchandise.

Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s Science Fair! This collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County allowed students to explore important scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way.
