Youngest male artist in the world crowned as one-year-old Ghanaian toddler

Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, a one-year-old from Ghana, has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest male artist. Last Monday, Ace-Liam participated in a professional exhibition at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra, where he sold nine out of ten paintings, including one commissioned by Ghana’s First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo. With 15 paintings sold already, the toddler, who turns two in July, is now preparing to host an auction.

Ace-Liam’s journey as an artist began at an early age when his mother, Ms. Chantelle, noticed his interest in painting at just six months old. Ms. Chantelle, who is also an artist, observed Ace-Liam’s skills while he was learning to crawl and decided to give him a canvas and paint to keep him busy. His first masterpiece, titled ‘The crawl,’ was created this way, leading to his love for painting.

Ms. Chantelle explained that painting brings Ace-Liam joy and fulfillment. His painting sessions are spontaneous, with the toddler choosing the canvas size and colors before carefully starting to paint. His family is now looking to nurture his artistic talent through quality education and international scholarship options while exploring opportunities for him to sell his artwork globally.

Ace-Liam’s paintings are not about specific messages but rather reflect how he feels and what he sees around him. His love for painting is genuine; he enjoys the creative outlet that allows him to explore and create without limitations. Ms. Chantelle said she supports her son’s passion and is committed to helping him further develop his artistic skills.

Ms. Chantelle hopes that her son will continue on this path of creativity and become a renowned artist someday.
